The Museum of Greek Folk Musical Instruments “Fivos Anoyanakis”-Centre for Ethnomusicology is located in the historic neighborhood of Plaka, in the heart of Athens.

The exhibition presents musical instruments and sound-producing objects dating from the mid-18th cent. onwards, originating from mainland and island Greece, as well as from Constantinople, Pontus, Cappadocia and Cyprus. The display is organized into four sections, reflecting the classification system established by Ethnomusicology for folk musical instruments: Membranophones, Aerophones, Chordophones,  Idiophones.
